CREAM PAN STRAWBERRY CROISSANT

The Strawberry Croissants at Cream Pan in Tustin are no doubt the best in the area.  Each Strawberry Croissant sells for $1.40 and is worth every penny.  The croissant itself is very crunchy and the cream is not too sweet.  The strawberries are also very fresh.  The bakery makes many of these strawberry croissants throughout the day as it is the bakery's specialty.  I noticed that many people bought the croissants in large amounts such as by the half-dozens and by the dozens.  One person even bought an entire platter.  I think you should give this strawberry croissant a try! It's delectable while it's fresh!

Going Green

HEALTHY GREEN JUICE INGREDIENTS (Because there's the green juice crave):
  • Kale
  • Spinach
  • One Chilled Fiji Apple (or any succulent apples with lots of sweet juices)
  • One Lemon slice
  • Ice cubes
  • Cold Water

  1. Wash the Kale and Spinach.
  2. Cut apples into small pieces.
  3. Place the Kale and Spinach at the bottom of the blender.
  4. Place the apple slices above to place weight on the leafy greens. (This is so the blades will have something to catch onto)
  5. Slip in a slice of lemon.
  6. Top of the entire stack with several ice cubes. (To your preference.)
  7. Pour in some cold water. (Again, up to your preference on the consistency)
  8. BLEND BABY

My Experience: I was actually very surprised at how sweet this juice was.  The apples are very sweet and overpower the greens. The reason why Kale and Spinach are popular greens to blend with fruits is because Kale and Spinach do not have much of a flavor and they absorb other flavors very well.  Also, the lemon slice adds a bit of a zing to my juice.  I've also experimented throwing in several grapes (because they were leftovers) and some slices of peach.  Ultimately, there is no 'recipe' for a green juice as it can be versatile.  Depending on your particular taste buds, you can alter the juice.  A banana will make the juice creamier, bring it to a smoothie-like consistency.  You can also pass the ice and freeze your fruits instead.  That way, there is still a coldness to your juice.

Enjoy!
